Look, I'm not going to pretend to be a film critic, this cinema blog, like the others is here to share profound moments in life either through music, art, theater, sports, you name it, we know what makes The Rooster tick and what makes The Mustache fizzle, and if you don't know who The Rooster and The Mustache are, then your an idiot, you have business reading this, and I should fire my publicist!
And yes, we have a grunge story that usually weaves itself into another story, that's just life in Xanaland, for instance in one of our all time favorite movies, True Romance, we are treated to this snippet of Soundgarden while Brad Pitt, " Floyd " gives directions to various mobsters:
I don't think James Gandolfini listened to Soundgarden, but I hear he loved Johnny Cash who did a great cover of Soundgarden's Rusty Cage, so we can assume he's done a little singing along to the radio and such, check out James singing in this clip from Romance & Ciggarette's!
Then there's this very strange scene from the same movie, except with Kate Winslet singing underwater, to be honest I have not seen the movie, but I plan to now, I love his line in this scene when he says, " I almost love you "
and in case you missed it on our news page, my favorite, James talks about being scared on Sesame Street...
and finally the fight scene from True Romance, he was type cast as a bad guy so often, it was wild to see him finally get his ass kicked, and by a female...even better!
Godspeed, Mr. Gandolfini, you will be horribly missed....
