A New Movie We Made, Go See You Must! Star Wars Episode VII Out In 2015, And A New One Every Summer For 5 Years!

Star Wars fans not only have two new spin-off films to look forward to, but a release every year from the franchise between 2015 and 2019.
Disney CEO Bob Iger suggested Star Wars spin-off films were happening in February, and these were confirmed by Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn at CinemaCon in Las Vegas this week.
Horn said that two stand-alone films were being scripted by Empire Strikes Back screenwriter Lawrence Kasden and Simon Kinberg, the writer of the Sherlock Holmes film.
According to MTV, Horn said Star Wars: Episode VII will be out in summer 2015, followed by Episode VIII in 2017 and Episode IX in summer 2019. The spin-off films will be released in the years in-between.
Fan sites have been speculating on which familiar Star Wars character will star in the spin-off films, but nothing has been confirmed by Disney. So far, Boba Fett and a young Han Solo have been at the centre of rumours for the films, after directors Jon Johnston and Robert Rodiguez showed interest in the project.
